Spam and viruses double unproductiveness employees

According to a Yahoo! press release

  • PCs take more sick days than their owners / Spam costs € 6.7 billion a year – the average British PC has nine “sick” days a year. PCs are out of use for 49 hours, or over 6 working days, while their owners battle spam. Plus 23 hours, or 3 working days are lost due to PCs being infected by viruses. By comparison, UK workers take on average seven sick days per year (Source: CBI)

Ironically, the EU has only forbidden to send spam to private persons. Companies and their employees were excluded from this directive, and in doing so the European institutions have been aiding this attack on the economy.
