Song of Myself ~ Walt Whitman

The first poem out of his collection Leaves of Grass, reprinted in this booklet to celebrate Penguin’s 60th anniversary. It’s lyrical, though the lines don’t rhyme. It is about a writer indeed, and what he sees outside. And I just never could get into it. Didn’t read a memorable line, and everything Whitman describes, failed to impress me.

This one just was not for me.
