Interviewing a Head of State
Then, the impossible thing happened. George Walker Bush finally met a journalist who asked the questions I would have been asking.
It’s shown on the Irish RTE’s PrimeTime [the interview starts at about 15.20 minutes and lasts a bit more than ten minutes].
Considering that the White House knew the questions three days before the interview took place, it is disappointing that the only script they could come up for George W. Bush to say is: trust us, we are good people.
Or even: let me finish, let me finish; we are good people.
