Rubbing Juliet
Often mentioned in the coverage of the World Championship cycling in Verona is this statue of Juliet. As it’s possible to visit the Capulet’s house there, and imagine you’re Romeo staring at the balcony.
Rubbing the statue’s right breast will bring you luck. But, only if you’re a woman. This doesn’t stop the men, though they probably rub for other reasons.
Your assignment for the weekend: to find pictures of people rubbing Juliet’s breast, and to watch their faces. That shouldn’t be too difficult. There are lots of them on-line.
It’s a tourist trap though. The house is fake.
