Górecki’s Third Symphony has been called classical music that pop afficianados can listen too as well, but I don’t know why that is. This third movement is a Polish folk song. I like it that Ingrid Perruche sings it in a lower voice than Dawn Upshaw in the version I am most familiair with. Which just goes to show, one just cannot have enough different interpretations of classical songs.
