First Line Quiz
An Alison Laydee subjected a novel to several publishers that began with the line:
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.
Hardly anyone spotted the obvious fraud.
So the BBC has made an Opening line quiz, to see if you would do better.
