Most Secret ~ Nevil Shute
It was a mistake to read this book again. Most Secret is a war story, with occupied French [Bretons], and a small boat with determined young men who want to fight the evil Nazis with a flamethrower. The chemical engineer among them even invents napalm to do this.
Of course, the book is still much better narrated than the average adventure story about World War II. All the men have distinct and interesting characters. However, suddenly it bothered me the story is told by an all-knowing narrator, who plays a part in the book as well. Because I simply didn’t like the story that much, I began to note how it was written.
